Jordan Wright

New York State Assembly District 70: Manhattan — Harlem

Opponents: Maria Ordonez (DSA), Joshua Clennon, four others

Jordan Wright is the son of Manhattan Democratic Party leader Keith Wright, who previously served for 24 years as the District 70 Assemblymember, and most recently served as the campaign manager for New York City Council Member Yusef Salaam, who defeated both Inez Dickens and Assembly Member Al Taylor to win his seat in the City Council.

Jordan is endorsed by retiring Assemblywoman Inez Dickens, former Congressman Charles Rangel, as well as District Leaders Wilma Brown and William Allen. Jordan is in a race with several opponents, but formidably challenged by Maria Ordonez, who was endorsed by the DSA and AOC in 2021, in her last race for City Council. Ordonez is expected to get the Working Families Party endorsement in 2024, and was just endorsed by far-left ex-councilwoman Kristen Richardson Jordan.

Key Endorsements: Assemblywoman Inez Dickens, former Congressman Charlie Rangel, both Assembly District Leaders, Assemblyman Al Taylor
